Review: Zcitek Neon Sign Gaming Decor (Pac-Man)
Half the joy of a game room, man cave, she shed, or rec room is decking it out with fun accessories. The Zcitek Neon Sign Gaming Decor with unlicensed Pac-Man iconography is definitely a great addition for fans of the classic quarter gobbler.
In the box, you get the light, two adhesive hooks, and instructions. Once out of the box you need to peel off the protective plastic film over the acrylic on both the front and back of the light so the background is completely clear. Removing this film is not particularly hard until you get to the inside of Pac-Man, the dots, and the ghosts, which is a real pain, but I was able to finish doing it by bugging my wife who has much longer nails than I do.
Once the film is off, you can either mount the light with the included hooks or just let it rest as-is. Power is supplied via a standard 5V USB port or power supply, which is not included. There’s a convenient on/off switch on the USB cable.
In action, the sign looks great. My photos definitely don’t do it justice, but the LED lighting (no, it’s not neon, but you could have probably guessed that) is bright, colorful, and consistent across its nearly 17-inch wide profile. There’s no animation, which would have been an interesting option, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it as a static, glowing decoration.
