After putting a deposit on a Ford Maverick hybrid back in June 2021, I finally took possession in March 2022. One of the interesting features of the Maverick is that instead of just having two standard USB ports in the front cabin and the middle console facing the rear seats, it has one standard USB-A port and one of the newer USB-C ports. In the front cabin, each port works for both charging and Apple CarPlay (and Android Auto if that’s your thing). The Nautica USB-C to Lightning Cable is a premium option for both data and charging for recent iPhones and iPads that still use that standard.
When I say premium, I mean premium. This is packaged well, including a manual and stickers, and the cable itself has a rich color (I have the Navy) and excellent jacket over its 4 foot length. This definitely feels like it will last.
In use in my car, CarPlay worked right away, while also charging, just like it’s supposed to. If you have a USB-C port on your charger, in your car, or on your computer and the right iOS device, this Nautica cable will serve you well.
