Like many people, I like to lay in bed at night and read Kindle eBooks, be they regular books or manga, on both my Apple iPad and Kindle Scribe. I primarily use the Kindle Scribe to read regular books with lots of text and few images, while the iPad is ideal for image-packed books or manga. How I read them, however, does have a downside. Let me explain.
When I’m lying in bed, I like to turn my iPad or Kindle on its side as I lay on a pillow. It’s a comfortable way to read for me, allowing me to both enjoy and power through a lot of great content. What’s not so great is having to tap the side of the screen to turn the page. Of course, it’s not a huge deal, but it does distract from reading flow and causes me to move my arm more than I’d like when relaxing with a good book. Fortunately, with the UNIBITRI Remote Page Turner, my problem, such as it is, has been solved.
It’s a simple two-part system, each chargeable over USB-C. One part is the page turner that gently clips onto the side of your tablet or e-Reader, while the other is the RF-based single button remote control. The page turner mimics a finger tap, which allows it to work with any touch-based screen.
For my own use case, it’s ideal. I clip it on and place my arm and hand anywhere I’d like, gripping the remote. A simple press of my thumb and my tablet or e-Reader goes to the next page. Super simple and effective.
Naturally, there are other use cases for a device such as this, but for me, just the fact that it solves my very basic, but personally relevant, issue brings me considerable joy. It’s a great device and one I highly recommend.
