We take product reviews seriously at the Armchair Creative Services, LLC, family of companies, which includes fullSTEAMahead365 and Armchair Arcade. We present only our honest, unbiased opinions, primarily letting the detailed analysis in our reviews speak for itself. However, to provide additional nuance and clarity, we utilize a standardized 10-point rating system. And who doesn’t love a good rating system?
As of January 2026, here’s how our review scale breaks down:
- 10 – Masterpiece/Flawless: The pinnacle of its category. It sets a new standard for performance, design, and utility. While nothing is truly “perfect,” this is as close as it gets. A must-buy, with no notable notes at the time of the review. This is obviously an “Editor’s Choice.”
- 9 – Outstanding: An exceptional product that excels in almost every way. The flaws are minor nitpicks that don’t impact the overall experience. Highly recommended and deserving of an “Editor’s Choice.”
- 8 – Great: A high-quality product that does exactly what it promises. It has one or two notable drawbacks (e.g., price or a missing feature it really should have), but the positives overwhelmingly outweigh the negatives. May still receive an “Editor’s Choice.”
- 7 – Good: A solid, reliable choice. It performs well but lacks the “wow” factor or polish of higher-tier products. A safe purchase if you find it on sale.
- 6 – Slightly Above Average: It works fine and gets the job done, but it’s uninspiring. It might be slightly overpriced, outdated, or clunky compared to competitors.
- 5 – Average: The definition of “middle of the road.” It functions, but has equal parts pros and cons. There are likely better options available for the same price.
- 4 – Slightly Below Average: Disappointing. It technically works, but the flaws are frustrating enough to hinder daily use. Hard to recommend unless it’s the only option.
- 3 – Poor: Significant issues. Whether it’s bad build quality, poor performance, or missing key features, this product fails to meet basic expectations. Look elsewhere!
- 2 – Terrible: Do not buy. It may be plagued by bugs, design failures, or misleading marketing. A waste of money. Simply put: Avoid!
- 1 – Unusable: Fails to function as advertised. It might be dangerous, completely broken out of the box, or a scam. You’ve been warned!
