The GoldWorld Wireless Beanie Hat merges the design of popular Bluetooth sleep bands with your typical winter hat at a shockingly low price. Because there’s no need to minimize speaker size since you won’t – or shouldn’t – be sleeping on your side with this hat on, there’s the potential for better battery life, and, more importantly, better sound. But how does it work in practice?

How it comes.

In the package you get the beanie hat with removable electronics for washing, very short microUSB charging cable, a bonus pair of dress-style socks, and an instruction sheet. After a full charge of no more than a few hours, you should get at least 20 hours of playtime.

What you get.

Pairing with my iPhone was trivial. I just long-pressed the play button to turn it on and it entered pairing mode. It found the device and quickly paired thanks to its Bluetooth 5.2 technology, which also provides excellent wireless range of about 36 feet.

It sounds amazing, but the looks on the other hand are not so amazing.

Sound quality is shockingly good. The sound is clear and, when playing music, there’s even a little bit of bass. At this super low price point, the sound quality is really incredible overall.

Sleeker sides and less material on top and it would likely be as stylish as it sounds.

About the only thing I don’t like about the hat, unfortunately, is the style. There’s a lot of extra material at the top of the hat that just sort of flops down. It looks pretty good on the models in the product listing, but not so much on me. That’s disappointing, because otherwise this product would be a real steal. As it is, I’ll definitely wear and use this, but I don’t think I’d enjoy wearing it out and about where a lot of people will see me.
