First off, with no instructions in the box, I had a heck of a time getting the desk clamp installed onto the power strip. Essentially, the clamp just sits loosely in the power strip’s well until the clamp gets tightened on the desk. Once set up properly, both the clamp and power strip are secure.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max in a magnet case, so not a small phone. Fortunately, there’s enough of a placement range where I was able to place my phone on the wireless charging location while still keeping the two USB ports free.  I do, however, feel like the design would have been better with the two USB ports on the far left of the unit rather than next to the wireless charger.

On the plus side, both AC outlets and USB ports are well spaced between each other, providing plenty of room to connect devices. There feels like there’s enough room for a third USB port between the two included USB ports, so that feels like something of a strange omission. Generally speaking, you don’t need that kind of spacing between USB charging ports.

Overall, while I would have liked a third USB port and potentially a third USB outlet, the included wireless charger certainly makes up for a lot. The 3.1A per USB port and 900 joules of surge protection are also pretty beefy for something like this.

The Annquan further differentiates itself by positioning each of its six outlets horizontally, rather than vertically. While this was likely done in deference to the top-mounted switches, it does help larger power bricks fit better.

There’s nothing in the box other than the power strip itself, which is a bit strange. There’s no documentation of any kind, not even a warranty statement. That’s OK, though, because I doubt many people would bother with a warranty replacement on this product anyway even if its modest 600 joules of surge protection gets overloaded. It’s an inexpensive enough price to simply buy another.

I received the white version, but it’s also available in black. It’s a slick design with a lightweight aluminum alloy body that can also be mounted thanks to some small keyhole slots (mounting hardware not included). The individual power switches are a bit mushy, but they do work, although a more premium feel here would have gone a long way to really making this a top product.

Overall, this is a good product at the right price. It’s a clever solution to a very real problem and one I’ll be making full use of.
